Rose City Comic Con 2017: Heimdall (Thor: The Dark World)
**1st Place: Soldier, 2nd Best in Show
This costume makes me feel like a goddess. With all the armor, leather (faux) and weapons, it’s hard not to feel fierce. I think Heimdall is a hallmark cosplay for me – it’s not the first costume that I’ve artistically adapted, but I think its the cosplay I’ve done the best.

I competed in Heimdall at Rose City Comic Con and then wore the costume on the floor at Emerald City Comic Con. Although I’m still working on my stage presence, I’ve definitely grown in my presentation.
I was fortunate to run into a student journalist at ECCC. She took some outstanding pictures of me in costume and posted a really cool article for UW Daily.
And here’s a couple of outstanding pictures taken by my handlers. My family usually helps me out during conventions and I am wholly indebted to their charity.
